If you are like me, you love when the weather gets warmer. I love spring. Birds chirping, flowers blooming, bright greenery. Just makes my heart happy.
It also means, time to dust off those grills and cook! Unfortunately, the Ginger and I were really hungry and forgot to take photos :/ but do not let this scare you when you attempt this recipe
Without further ado, my basic grilled cabbage:
Items you will need:
salt and pepper
vegan butter or oil of choice
rosemary of other herb of choice
Remove vegan butter from refrigerator to soften. Take head of cabbage, rinse off and quarter it leaving the core in. Next take your softened butter and place in a bowl, add your spices, I used minced garlic, rosemary and salt and pepper. Stir together. This is where the fun is, I picked up my quarters of cabbage and used my hands to smother the cabbage quarters with all the yummy spices. (You could use a spoon or brush if you prefer). Once all four pieces of cabbage are coated, place in foil and close. Place entire foil package, with cabbage inside, on a heated medium heat grill and allow to cook 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat, open and enjoy.
Makes a great side dish or could be eaten as your main dish with other sides.
