My love of running can be attributed to my dad. From a young age, he would go run around the block and my older sister would be allowed to go, but I always wanted to go. My parents would take me the baseball field and let me run circles around the bases, seemingly gliding. Then one day, I was old enough to run around the block with my dad. It was a mile and half loop. My dad always told me that regardless of how the rest of your run went, it could be one of the worst runs ever, that you always needed to finish strong and have a good kick in. He said that when it is all said and done, the body remembers the finish. You finish strong, then the next run, you would be stronger. I am forever grateful for my dad.

I found the One my heart loves. (Song of Solomon 3:4)
One year ago today, two families joined as one. One man and one women took a leap – and said “I do”. It was a gorgeous day surrounded by family and friends, good food and bounces houses, our perfect DYI wedding.
It is hard to believe a year has passed – it was flown by, which is a sign that we are happy and making memories together. Today is a day for us to remember our choice to be together. I chose the Ginger 🙂 To rekindle the flame and to take a moment to pause. To gaze into each other’s eyes and know, just know, that we have found the one our hearts love. It is a time to celebrate. To remember all who were there and share our love for each other.
Here is just a peak of what our day was like. The joy that we shared that day and continue to share today. wow – we both clean up nicely 🙂
And now..I must bring this to a close and go spend time with the one my heart has found.
Much love and blessings,
Wow!! Hard to believe that we are already into fall. Time is really flying by. We have been busy in our household, but had a great summer. I even got to see the Ginger water ski (he used to competitively jump when he was younger). I do need to post some pictures and new posts soon. To be honest, I had a little setback on my journey to my ideal health – had a reaction to one of my treatments since I was able to go months without it and it knocked me down a notch, which is why nothing has been posted recently. Sometimes it happens, but one day I know that I will be treatment free.
I have started my Rouxbe Plant Based Professional Cooking class and could not be happier. Last weekend I even got to do a little science experiment! You had to blanch, parboil and then cook until just tender broccoli that you had cut to the same size. Check out the photo below:
The first piece shows a blanched, the second is parboiled and the third is cook until tender. Do you notice the differences in the amount of white or light light green in the stems?? You should try this at home. It would be a good activity to do with your kids and then they can taste the broccoli and see the differences in the same. Oh, and just like I had to, I think you need to attempt this without being provided the cooking times! I will tell you think, it is quick…real quick. This assignment was also a good reminder of how quickly one can go overcook an item.
In other news, we are prepping for the Mt Laurel Fall Festival tomorrow and have new products! The etsy store is open for business and the pups had two pillow fights with our couch pillows and won! Haha. It looked like it had snowed in the living room. Wow! It was so hard not to laugh when I walked in the house, it just looked like they had so much fun 🙂 I mean, I enjoy a good pillow fight. In fact, I think I will go start one now with the Ginger. Have a good night all!!
May blessings abound,
